How to Open a Note on Your Phone with a QR Code
When you need to move a long URL, plain text (not a Wi-Fi password) or a terminal command from your PC screen to your phone, a QR code is the easiest way. All you need is your phone's built-in camera, with no app to install.
Steps
- On your PC, paste what you want to move into bombMemo and press [Save].
- Press [Share] and a QR code appears below the code.
- Point your phone camera at the QR code and tap the link that appears on screen.
- When the note opens on your phone, tap "Copy text" and paste it wherever you need it.
If the QR code will not scan
- Turn up the screen brightness and hold your phone about 20-30 cm away from the QR code.
- If the camera cannot read the QR code, you can type the 6-character code instead and the same note opens.
- On your phone, "📤 Share via…" in the share window also lets you send it straight to a messaging app.
