Terms of Service

Effective date: October 1, 2026

These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between users and the operator of bombMemo ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

• The Service lets you temporarily store text, photos and archive files and exchange them with other devices using a 6-character code, QR code or link, free of charge.
• Saved memos are deleted automatically after the time you choose and cannot be recovered.
• Users signed in with Google get extra features such as longer retention, private memos and instant deletion.

2. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

1. Upload or share illegal content (including non-consensual intimate imagery, child sexual abuse material, obscene material, gambling or drugs)
2. Upload content that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights
3. Upload malware, viruses, phishing files or any file that can harm other people's devices or data
4. Post other people's personal information without consent, or impersonate others
5. Post spam, advertising or promotional content in bulk
6. Guess share codes at random or place excessive load on the Service with automated tools
7. Otherwise interfere with the Service or harm other users

3. Responsibility for content

• You keep the rights to, and are responsible for, the content you upload.
• The operator processes content only as needed to provide the Service (storage, delivery and automatic deletion) and does not use it for any other purpose.
• A shared memo can be opened by anyone who knows its code, QR code or link. Memos marked "🎲 Show in random browse" can also be viewed by people who do not know the code.

4. Reports and enforcement

Anyone can report an inappropriate memo using the "🚩 Report" button on the memo screen or by email. The operator may delete or block access to content it considers in violation of section 2 without prior notice, and may notify the relevant authorities of repeated or serious violations.

5. Changes and interruptions

The operator may change or suspend all or part of the Service for improvements, maintenance or outages. Because memos are not backed up, please keep your own copy of anything important.

6. Advertising

The Service may show ads to users who are not signed in. Information processing related to ads follows the Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of liability

• The Service is provided free of charge. Except in cases of intent or gross negligence, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the Service, such as data loss, automatic deletion or temporary outages.
• You are responsible for the consequences of opening or using memos or files you receive. Do not open files from people you do not know.

8. Changes to these terms

The operator may change these terms when necessary and will post a notice on this page at least 7 days before the change takes effect.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes relating to the Service are resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any difference between versions, the Korean version prevails.
