Move Photos Between iPhone and Galaxy (No App Install)

AirDrop only works between iPhones, and Quick Share only between Android phones. Between different devices such as an iPhone and a Galaxy, photos often lose quality in messengers, or you have to install a separate app. With bombMemo, both sides only need a browser.

Sender (same on iPhone or Galaxy)

  1. Open bombMemo in your phone browser (Safari, Chrome, Samsung Internet).
  2. Tap Add photos and pick the photos to send. You can send up to 5 at a time without logging in, or up to 10 when signed in with Google.
  3. Choose the ⏱ auto-delete time, then tap [Save] → [Share].
  4. Tell the recipient the 6-character code shown on screen, or let them scan the QR code with their phone.

Receiver

  1. Scan the QR, or enter the 6-character code on the bombMemo home screen.
  2. Tap 📥 Save all photos below the photos.
  3. On iPhone choose [Save Image] in the share sheet; on Galaxy choose a save option such as [Save to Gallery], and the photos go into your photo app. On a PC they are saved to the Downloads folder.

💡 iPhone photos (HEIC) are automatically converted to JPEG on upload, so they open right away on Android and PC. Photos are resized to 2048px on the long side, so if you need the original quality, bundle them into a zip and send with 📦 Add files.

FAQ

Does the recipient need to install an app?

No. Both sender and receiver only need a browser. No sign-up is required either.

Do the photos stay on the server?

Once the time you chose when saving (1 to 10 minutes, up to 30 days when logged in) has passed, the photos are automatically deleted from the server.

Can I move them to a PC too?

Yes. Enter the code in a PC browser and click [Save all photos], and they are saved to the Downloads folder. You can also do the reverse: receive photos uploaded from a PC on your phone.
